Ohio Department of Aging Nominations

Recognition Programs

Each year, the Ohio Department of Aging honors a group of Ohioans who help ensure that elders are respected as vital members of society who continue to grow, thrive and contribute.

  • The Ohio Senior Citizens Hall of Fame recognizes native-born Ohioans or long-time state residents for their service to others and for achievements after age 60 or lifetime achievements. Inductees not only illustrate positive aging, but also help make Ohio a better place to live.

Nomination Forms

We now accept nominations year-round for both honors presented by the Department of Aging. Nominations must be received by the date indicated below to be considered for the current year's honor. Any nomination received after that date will be considered for next year. These dates may change, with or without notice.
