Help us take 10 Million Steps to Prevent Falls

10 Million Steps - Host Registration

On Friday, Sept. 22, 2017, Ohio will celebrate Falls Prevention Awareness Day. To help raise awareness of the epidemic of falls among older adults and the many things we can do to prevent falls, the STEADY U Ohio initiative and our partners are sponsoring "10 Million Steps to Prevent Falls."

To participate:

  1. Organize a "10 Million Steps" falls prevention awareness walk of at least one mile in your community. Potential venues include indoor and outdoor walking tracks, YMCAs, community/state/metro parks, walking/bike paths, hiking trails, city sidewalks, malls and more.
  2. Register your event on the STEADY U Ohio website (using the form below). Your event will be listed on the website within a few days and shared with media as the event date nears.
  3. Hold your event on (or around) Sept. 22, then return to to report the total number of participants and miles walked.

Please help us reach our goal of at least 4,000 Ohioans walking at least one mile each.
